The Key to Your Business Success

A good relationship with a customer:

A good relationship with a customer is the key to your business success. It’s much more important than a good product or a nice building. Offering a good product won’t do you any good if no one wants to buy from you. And having a nice building won’t do you any good if no one wants to visit your location. In fact, maintaining good relationships with your customers may be as important as the money they pay you for service or your product. It’s one of the best investments any business can ever make.

A good relationship with a customer

What makes a good relationship with a customer so important?

What makes a good relationship with a customer so important is his sphere of influence. When you are dealing with a customer, you are indirectly doing business with everyone he knows; that includes his family, friends, coworkers, etc. Consequently, it’s imperative that you respect each customer with the same level of professionalism and courtesy you expect when patronizing another’s business. A customer may spend hundreds on your product or service but, through his network, others may be willing to pay you thousands or even millions. Neglecting such a customer can be detrimental to the future of your business. This further emphasizes the importance of nurturing your business relationships and valuing each one of your customers.

How can your relationship with a customer impact your business today?

Today, the internet can connect each of us to everyone. You don’t have to know someone personally to influence his decision to buy a product. As a customer, I usually look for reviews before making a purchase. Based on the positive and negative reviews, I’m able to determine whether I should proceed with the purchase or move on. One dissatisfied customer’s bad review about your business on Google or social media, can result in loss of income and thousands of folks boycotting your business. Remember, your customers just may hold the future of your business between their lips and fingertips. What they say or type regarding your business may determine its future. I hope this will motivate you to always make sure your customers’ satisfaction remains your priority number one.
